The Learning Pad developed from Jennifer’s Party Pad to provide a learning environment for children ages 2 1/2-5.  The love of creating parties that are thematic, coming from a teaching background, and having a pre-school aged child of her own, gave Jennifer the insight to design a program that would be what she would want for her own child.  The Learning Pad takes thematic teaching, aspects of Montessori, life skills, play, and most of all fun, and puts it all together in a setting that allows children to be exposed to many aspects of learning, giving them a springboard for the leap into elementary school. 

As parents, we want the best for our children and want them to have the tools, experiences, and hunger for knowledge to be lifetime learners.  The Learning Pad feels that exposing children to art, music, science, language, math, responsibilities, and the world, in a thematic way allows children to learn at their own pace, and gives them the motivation to excel and want more.

Our families are very important to us and we have monthly family nights to encourage the children to show their families what and how they are learning.  The photos show some of these nights such as Halloween and our Family Feast.  We have parent volunteers in to help with outdoor environment activities such as flower planting, play dough making, special crafts, and many others.

We also bring in outside sources to help teach the children about their community such as firemen, policemen, dentist, and even McGruff the Crime Dog.

* Director owned and operated.  Background and degree in elementary education.  Taught 2^nd grade, 3^rd grade, 6^th grade, and gifted children.

Extended care from 8am-5:00pm

Visit from McGruff the Crime Dog

Summer is right around the corner

reserve your space for camp!

 

This summer, give you kids, ages 3-6 a jam packed

 summer of fun.

Our summer camp provides a different theme each

 week, and a different activity each day.  Days

 include art and craft, music and movement, water

 day, and frog's choice.

We have also brought in special guests such as zoo animals, fire trucks, Mad Science, and gigantic water slides.  This year will be similar.  We made lemonade, ice cream, and many other fun with food projects.

This year, summer camp will run from June 9th through July 17th Monday to Thursday, 9am to 12pm.  There is only the 4 day option, which is $480 for the 6 week session..  Individual weeks will cost $100 per week, based on availability..

Registration is first come, first served and begins February 11th.  A $100 NON-REFUNDABLE fee is required to reserve your child's space, $50 is registration, and $50 goes toward camp.  Final payment is due by May 16th or the spot is forfeited.
